Welsh Stroke Conference 2021
The Welsh Stroke Conference is one of the biggest multidisciplinary events in Wales and is a significant fixture in the educational calendar for Stroke in the UK. The conference was started in 2002 and has grown from strength to strength each year.
Previous conferences have featured outstanding speakers from North America, Europe, Australia as well as from Wales and the rest of the UK, all experts in their particular field of stroke medicine. Many have returned several times to speak at this event. Each year we invite an honoured guest to deliver the Bhowmick Lecture with a title of their choice.
The Welsh Stroke Conference is different from any other international conferences in that it is not aimed at generating funds for any organisation. It is intended to be purely educational and it is well subsidised. This means that we can set registration fees at a low rate so making the conference accessible to those who aren’t able to get study leave expenses. The success of the conference is reflected in the many delegates that come from other parts of UK as well as our local healthcare professionals from Wales.
We encourage professionals from all areas connected with stroke to attend. The audience is always highly motivated to learn about recent advances in stroke research, new developments in service delivery and interesting case reports.
